Options

Setting Options

You can use the Options dialog box to adjust the behavior of ACDSee Free to suit your preferences.

To set the Options:

  1. Under Tools, click Options.
  2. In the Options dialog box, set or change any of the options described below.
  3. Click OK to accept your changes and return to ACDSee Free.

Options

General

 

Enable gamma correction

Applies the specified amount of gamma correction when viewing images.

Disable animation

Displays only the first frame of an animated image.

Always on top

Keeps ACDSee Free as the top window in a stack of windows.

Set full screen mode as default

Opens images in the ACDSee Free window in full screen mode by default.

Hide mouse cursor in full screen

Hides the cursor in full screen mode.

Show full image file path

Displays the image's full file path in the bottom status bar.

View

Background

Default color

Uses the ACDSee Free background color.

Custom color

Specifies a color to use as the background color in ACDSee Free. Click the color swatch to select a different color.

Zoom Options

Default zoom mode

Fit Image: Displays the image at the largest magnification that fits in the ACDSee Free window. Images that are smaller than the ACDSee Free window display at their original size.
Actual size: Displays the image at its actual size in the ACDSee Free window.
Fit width: Displays the image at the full width of the ACDSee Free window.
Fit Height: Displays the image at the full height of the ACDSee Free window.

Reset zoom mode to default on every image change

Resets the zoom mode to the selected default when the displayed image changes.

Resize

Resizes the image based on the selected option.
