Managing Assigned Names with the People Manager

Please note that Face Detection is only available for the 64-bit version of ACDSee Photo Studio Home.

Once you have assigned names to detected faces in View mode, you can use the People group of the Catalog pane to find photos based on the individuals in them. You can also search by name in the Quick Search bar and the Search pane.

You can manage the names assigned to faces through Face Detection using the People Manager.

To Open the People Manager:

In Manage or View mode, choose Tools | Manage People...

To Delete Names:

  1. In the People Manager, select a name, or Ctrl + click to select more than one name, or Shift + click to select multiple names in a row.
  2. Press the Remove button.

To Re-Assign Names:

Situations can arise in which you have the same individual saved under multiple names, (eg. "Daniel" versus "Dan"). You can merge these names using the Merge button.

  1. In the People Manager, Ctrl + click to select more than one name, or Shift + click to select multiple names in a row.
  2. Press the Merge button.

To Edit Names:

  1. In the People Manager, select a name.
  2. Press the Rename button.
  3. Edit the name in the field.
