Finding Duplicates
Use the Find Duplicates command to easily find and remove duplicate files. Removing unnecessary duplicates helps you organize your files, free up hard disk space, and find and back up your files quickly.
To Find Duplicates:
- Click Tools | Find Duplicates.
- Click Choose Folders.
- Click the plus signs to select folders.
To remove folders, click the x. - Select from the following options:
- include subfolders
- find images only
- limit the search to the same filename only
- Click Find Duplicates to begin the search.
All duplicate sets matching your specifications will be listed. - Click the arrow buttons to open duplicate sets and review the filenames and locations.
- Click any file to display the thumbnail preview, size, and date.
- Check the checkbox next to the duplicate files you want to delete.
- Click the trash to delete selected duplicates.
