Managing Panes and Options in ACDSee Tabs
In Manage mode, many options and panes can be customized independently for each tab. This includes settings for Filter, Group, and View options, as well as the Folders, Catalog, Calendar, and Advanced Search panes. When a new tab is opened, whether through a menu or shortcut, its options and panes will be duplicated from the previously selected tab. When ACDSee is closed, all tabs will close with it, however upon restarting ACDSee, the program will restore the options from the tab that was active when it was closed last.
Performing Searches using ACDSee Tabs
Searches are performed within tabs, allowing you to retain your search results by simply opening a new tab continuing to work there, easily returning to your original search tab at any time. This gives you significant control over your search capabilities: allowing for multiple searches, easy navigation between searches, and the ability to continue working without losing any of your search results.
Searches conducted within the Advanced Search, Catalog, or Calendar pane, along with search criteria in Advanced Search and items selected within the Catalog and Calendar pane, are specific to each tab. This allows you to maintain distinct searches and selections across multiple tabs, enabling easier comparison and efficient workflow management.
