Fine-Tuning Skin Tone

You can use the Skin Tune tool to even skin tone and smooth away blemishes and flaws.

You can save your settings as a preset for future use.

To Correct Skin Tone:

  1. In Develop mode, select the Detail tab.
  2. In the Skin Tune group, adjust the sliders as described below.

You can right-click a slider to reset to the default value.

Skin Tune Options

Smoothing

Drag the slider to the right to refine skin by suppressing texture detail.

Glow

Drag the slider to the right to increase the brightness of skin while subtly smoothing.

Radius

Specifies the scale of the texture detail that is affected by the effect. Drag the slider to the left to enhance small details. Drag the slider to the right to enhance larger details.

View the effects of your changes in the Preview Window, located at the top of the Detail pane. Move the overlay square on your image to change the area the Preview Window displays.
