Removing Metadata from Files

You may want to share your photos without including file information such as location, camera model, personal ratings etc. The Remove Metadata option allows you to strip out this information from selected images and maintain privacy.

Metadata can be removed from JPG, TIFF, PNG and HEIC files.

You can make copies of the images you want to remove the metadata from so you can maintain the version with the metadata intact.

To Remove Metadata from Selected Images:

  1. Click Tools | Metadata | Remove...
  2. Use the check boxes to select one or more options between EXIF and IPTC, Embedded ACDSee Metadata, and Embedded ACDSee Face Data.
  3. Click Remove.

Metadata is permanently removed

Both Embedded ACDSee Metadata and Embedded ACDSee Face Data can also be cleared from the database entirely.
