About Generative AI in ACDSee Ultimate
ACDSee Ultimate includes generative AI tools that create new image content rather than adjusting existing pixels. You describe what you want in a prompt, and the image is generated for you.
Unlike the other AI features in ACDSee Ultimate, the generative AI tools do not run on your computer. They send your request to a cloud service, so they require an internet connection, a signed-in ACDSee account, and available credits.

Credits are purchased through ACDSee and are consumed each time you generate. The number of credits a generation costs depends on the model you choose and is shown before you generate.
Your available credit count doesn't update automatically after you purchase more. Click Refresh available credits, shown beside the credit count in every generative tool, to update it without restarting ACDSee Ultimate.
The Generative AI Tools
AI Image Generation
Creates a new image from a written description. Available in Manage mode, View mode, and Edit mode. Depending on how you open it, the result is saved as a file, opened for editing

Generative Edit
Applies a described change to the selected layer, using a prompt and optional reference images. You can generate more than once and undo or redo between attempts, then commit or discard the result. Available in Edit mode from the Filter menu, and in the AI drop-down menu in Manage mode.

AI Generative Fill
Adds generated content based on all layers in your image rather than the selected one. The result is applied as soon as generation finishes. Available in Manage mode and Edit mode.

AI Remove
Removes an object from a photo and reconstructs the background behind it. You brush over the object and ACDSee Ultimate determines its extent. Available in Edit mode from the toolbar, beside the Smart Erase Brush.

Where the Generative AI Tools Appear

Generation runs in your current mode. Opening AI Image Generation in Manage mode or View mode doesn't switch you to Edit mode.
Choosing a Model
Every generative tool offers the same four models: Nano Banana 2 Lite, Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana Pro, and Nano Banana. Your choice affects the number of credits a generation costs.
In AI Remove, cost also depends on the size of the area you brush.
In AI Image Generation, the model you select also determines the aspect ratios, resolutions, and file formats available under Model Settings. Generative Edit and AI Generative Fill let you choose a model but have no equivalent settings, since they work within the dimensions of your existing image.

Generated Results Vary
Generative AI does not produce the same result twice. Running the same prompt on the same image gives a different result each time. If a result isn't what you wanted, adjust your prompt and generate again — the prompt stays in place between generations.
Credits Are Not Refunded
Undo reverses a generated change to your image, but it doesn't return the credits the generation used. If you don't like a result, generating again costs credits again.
While a Generation Is Running
A generation cannot be canceled once it has started.
AI Image Generation reports its progress to the Activity Manager, where it appears under Queued Activities as Image Generation. Other generative tools won't appear there.

Limitations
Generative operations apply to one image at a time. Batch generation isn't supported.
Prompts are limited to 2,000 characters.
You can upload 14 reference images in total across Style, Character, and Composition, or 3 if you select the original Nano Banana model.
Available resolutions and aspect ratios depend on the model you select.
How Your Images Are Handled
The generative AI tools don't run on your computer. When you generate, your prompt and any reference images are sent to a cloud service for processing, and the generated result is returned to ACDSee Ultimate. Image generation is performed using Google's Nano Banana models.
Generated images carry a SynthID watermark, an invisible marker applied by Google identifying the image as AI-generated. ACDSee Ultimate does not display or read this watermark.
